Weekends are busy so you should book in advance. And the mojito was so good.! Will definitely come back to try the spicy Mexican cowboys dumplings next time we're in Nelson Bay. ”

We ordered three types of the pan-fried dumplings: prawn & chives, mexican cowboys and pork. Also had the Refeshing Soba Noodle salad and a Pork Wonton Soup. Everything was delicious. The Mojo Mojito mocktail also yum and well presented. Highly recommend visit when in Nelson Bay. ”

“ We had a wonderful dining experience at Dumpling Mama’s Bar and Dining. Every dish we tried was spot on — full of flavour, beautifully presented, and served with genuine care. The prawn and vermicelli salad stood out for its simplicity and balance. The prawns were cooked perfectly, paired with fresh greens that gave the dish just the right lift. The vegan pan-fried dumplings were crisp, hearty, and satisfying, easily a highlight for anyone plant-based or otherwise. For dessert, I tried the lemongrass pudding, which was fragrant, light, and a refreshing end to the meal. What really impressed us was the thoughtfulness of the chef and staff. When they realised my partner couldn’t have the pudding due to gelatin and egg in the citrus gel, the chef quickly put together a plate of fresh fruit just for her. A simple but meaningful gesture that really elevated the experience. Overall, excellent food, attentive service, and a mindful team that goes above and beyond. Highly recommend. ”
